| -He goes out of his way to help a friend |
| -When he gets hit in the head with the apple then looks up at the sky like "huh" |
| -He's the classic hobbit; drunk, not to bright, hungry, and merry |
| -The "oh crap" expression when he knocks down the dwarf skeleton in Moria |
| -When he learns Frodo is leaving by himself and then he and Merry distract the Uruk-hai so Frodo can escape |
| -"Oh that's nice. Ash on my tomatoes!" |
| -When Boromir gets shot for the 3rd time and he and Merry make their last attempt to save him. |
